Warsaw is the home of Frederic Chopin. Actually born in Zelazowa Wola, just outside of the city, the famous composer spent his youth in Warsaw but left Poland, never to return, in 1830. His earliest successes, his most famous compositions, relationships and family tragedies – all of this is forever tied to Warsaw.
