Many of the most beautiful fairy tales and legends in Polish folklore are associated with Warsaw. We welcome school groups and families with children to join us on a unique tour of the Old Town of Warsaw’s most beautiful legends and fairy tales. Our guide will take kids and their chaparones on a magical journey through the most mysterious corners of the old town, learning and having fun at the same time.
During this extraordinary journey, children will have the opportunity to meet King Sigismund III Vasa, master Jan Twardowski, the terrible Basilisk and the Warsaw Mermaid. They will also learn the story of the pigeon fancier with the golden heart from Piwna street and visit the Cathedral of St.John, where they will hear the story of the remarkable legendary medieval figure of Christ with the miraculous hair. We’ll visit the Barbican, the city walls and moat while learning about the defense of the old city from enemies and the role of executioner in the life of historic Warsaw. There will also be space for a brief serious history lesson, a visit to the Monument to the Little Insurgent.
The tales we tell on our tour are adjusted to the age and sensitivity of young visitors. The trip is of great educational value but we make sure that children not only learn a lot but also enjoy themselves while having a fantastic adventure.
